Step Up For Swan Street Fest is hosted by KPAYC the Community Interest Company created to save 24 Swan Street and bring it into Community ownership. It is a fundraising event and the finale to The Pledge 500 Club effort to meet the target bid amount set by Basingstoke and Deane Council. We will be taking pledges during the festival and you can get involved in the Silent Auction on the day and leading up to the event.
This is a celebration of our local talent and community spirit. The time is now to together to keep this spectacular building, its parking facility and creative hub in our village.
Bring On Tomorrow - Charity Gala
Our students along with a cast of today’s local talent will join together in this all-singing, all-dancing charity gala extravaganza, with the aim of raising £25,000, to save our creative home 24 Swan Street in Kingsclere from sale to developers.
Expect a jam-packed show of captivating dance and sensational musical numbers performed for you like our futures depend on it.
Pupils and students from JLD School of Dance, Theatre Train, School Of The Arts, QMC, Kingsclere Performing Arts College, will be joined by Kingsclere PA Alumni who are currently in training at the country's finest training academies, drama schools, musical theatre colleges and conservatoires, as they return to support this worthy cause.
Half Term Fundraising Workshops
This half term JLD Studios is hosting two days FULL of workshops for absolutely anyone 5yrs+ to join. This event is open to everyone and students do not need to be enrolled at JLD to come so tell all your friends!
Local teachers from JLD and Kings PA are giving their time for free so that 100% of the money made can go towards securing our beloved studio space. Huge progress is being made through the Kingsclere Performing Performing Arts and Youth Centre CIC and more information on that and how the future could look for 24 Swan Street coming very soon.
