JLD Uniform
JLD uniform requirements are below. If you are not sure of something, please speak to the Office or your teacher before purchasing items. We highly recommend visiting a dance shop to purchase your items as they have trained staff who have the knowledge required to fit dance shoes correctly. Black belts for Modern and Tap uniform are available from the office or your teacher.
Character skirts can be ordered via the office or your teacher.
Traditionally dance uniforms have been split by genders. We understand that for some students this is a sensitive area to navigate. Please be assured that we believe dance is for all and want our students to pick the uniform that they identify with and are comfortable with. We don’t want any concerns in this area to be what stops you from coming to our studios. If you wish to discuss your individual needs and requirements with us, please do.

Commercial Uniform
Male and Female - A comfortable DANCE outfit of own choice. Must not constrict movement, outdoor clothes will not be allowed. Trainers must be brought in for the end of class.
Contemporary and Acro Uniform
Male and Female - A tight fitting dance outfit with no restrictions. Preferably a leotard or unitard with no skirt. Bare feet for this class. Hair must be completely tied up and off of the face.
